Teaching and Learning

GiFT- Growing in faith together

GiFT is our study, learning and fellowship programme. We meet about once a fortnight during the school terms on Tuesdays both at 11.10am and 7pm. Everyone is welcome. If you would like more information please speak to one of the clergy or click here.

Prayer and Healing

The laying on of hands with prayers for healing forms an important part of our ministry as we seek to be a channel for God’s healing love. Prayers for healing are offered on the first Sunday at Evensong, the third Sunday at the 10am Eucharist, the second Tuesday Eucharist each month and and at the Iona style healing service on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 6pm.

If you have requests for prayer for healing please speak to one of the clergy or fill in a request form.

Youth and Children

Sunday Connect takes place during our 10.00am Sunday service and is a time of worship and activity for children, and toddlers with a parent. It lasts about 25 minutes and then we rejoin everyone else for the rest of the service in church.

The Toddle-in group meets on Tuesday afternoons for pre-school children and their carers.

Our Youth Group - TFC - meets on Tuesday evening once a fortnight, during term time, and occasionally at other times.

Pastoral Care and Support

Readers

Holy Trinity has two Readers who are trained and licenced to preach, teach and assist with pastoral care and support in the parish.

Authorised Pastoral Assistants

The church has four commissioned APAs. APAs particularly help to offer pastoral care and support in the parish. Their work is quite varied but includes monitoring the sick and visiting them, supporting new Christians and people new to the church and helping those who are finding life a struggle for what ever reason.

Home Communion and Nursing Homes

We have a busy programme of taking communion to people who are housebound or in Nursing Homes. We are always glad to receive requests from anyone who would welcome this ministry.

Funeral and Bereavement Ministry

Holy Trinity is heavily involved in funeral ministry and we try to make funerals both a celebration of a person’s life and a commending of their life into God’s eternal care. We also want to offer the best possible care to the bereaved. As part of this we have a bereavement team to support those who need help and we have regular memorial services where loved ones are remembered.
